AMBIENTACIÓN
El mundo ha llegado a una nueva era, los avances de tecnología han permitido que la humanidad pueda alcanzar un estado similar a una utopía en el cual predominaba la paz. Lamentablemente para ellos ese desarrollo se convirtió pronto en uno de los principales problemas. Robots que fueron desarrollados por los humanos comenzaron a volverse renegados y a reunirse para comenzar un levantamiento para acabar con la raza humana.
Estos robots que recibían el nombre de Omnics tuvieron la ventaja al tener acceso a toda la tecnología desarrollada y con eso superar a los humanos que estaban por ser vencidos, el evento fue algo que ocurrió alrededor del mundo, a tal punto que este periodo se ha reconocido como La Primera Crisis Omnic. Para enfrentar la amenaza de los Omnics la UN creo al grupo Overwatch, conformado por soldados con habilidades especiales de todo el planeta que pudieran enfrentar al enemigo. Con un grupo pequeño lograron crear la paz y volverse un fenómeno de popularidad.
La gente adoraba a Overwatch y ésto provoco que se volviera una organización internacional que mantenía la paz y que reunía a los mejores soldados del mundo para esta labor. El tiempo pasó y el enamoramiento de la gente con el grupo también, los conflictos contra Overwatch se hicieron presentes e incluso desde el interior de la organización había problemas, todo detonó cuando un incidente en el cuartel de Suiza acabó con la vida de sus líderes, John Morrison y Gabriel Reyes. El grupo que se encargó de salvar a la humanidad desapareció entre las sombras y la gente dejó de ver a todos los integrantes como héroes. El Gobierno prohibió toda actividad por parte de Overwatch fichándolos como mercenarios y criminales.
Veinte años han pasado y el mundo ha cesado de tener la paz que alguna vez tuvo, una nueva crisis con los Omnic ha comenzado con enfrentamientos que hacen palidecer a los que ocurrieron en el pasado, además, la organización terrorista Talon ha obtenido una mayor fuerza y cuenta con estrategias casi insuperables. Es necesario un cambio, el mundo necesita otra vez héroes que marquen la diferencia.
Es necesario que Overwatch regrese.
NEW DIVIDE
Este es un foro basado en el juego de Overwatch creado por Blizzard y lanzado en el 2016. Cuenta con una temática futurista, cuyo principal foco es una organización encargada de mantener la justicia llamada Overwatch el cual conjunta a una gama muy distinta de héroes que tienen un mismo fin, buscar la paz, aunque hay muchos factores externos que se oponen a esta situación.
La primera pregunta que muchos deben realizarse en estos casos debe ser ¿es necesario el jugar Overwatch para poder entrar a este foro? Claro que no, no es necesario el jugar o conocer sobre el juego para poder participar, la temática toma distintos factores de la historia pero sin necesariamente el seguir estos al pie de la letra, además que se ha buscado tomar los detalles más importantes en cuenta para que aunque no se conozca nada sobre el juego, se pueda formar parte del foro. ¿No conoces sobre el juego? En ese caso puedes verlo como un foro donde hay un mundo futurista en el cual existen tanto héroes como villanos que se enfrentan por mantener la paz y donde existen distintos tipos de conflictos tales como problemas políticos, espías, personas con ideologías diferentes, incluso factores de xenofobia, es un mundo no tan alejado al cual se han visto en otras fuentes tales como videojuegos, libros y series.
Pueden tanto crearse personajes originales, como también adaptar personajes existentes y para aquellos que conocen sobre el juego, existe la oportunidad de poder tomar a uno de los personajes canon. ¿Se les dará prioridad a los personajes canon? No, todos los personajes, originales, adaptados y canon estarán en igualdad de circunstancias, ninguno será más importante que el otro, todos tendrán su importancia y peso dentro de la trama del foro basándose en sus acciones.
